Lucky ticket-holder scoops enormous £2 million National Lottery jackpot win

A lucky ticket holder has scooped the £2 million National Lottery prize tonight.

Camelot confirmed that the jackpot had been won by a single ticket holder and urged people to check their tickets.

The winning numbers on Wednesday July 21st are 20, 05, 37, 17, 51, 45 and the bonus number is 29.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: "What fantastic news for a single ticket-holder who has won tonight’s £2M Lotto jackpot!

"Players are being urged to check their tickets and to give us a call to claim this massive jackpot prize.

"National Lottery players make a huge difference to National Lottery Good Causes across the country raising, on average, around £36M every week.

"Thanks to National Lottery players, over £1.2BN has been distributed to date across the UK to help tackle the impact of coronavirus."

Saturday's estimated jackpot is £3.8 million.

Tonight's winning Thunderball numbers were: 35, 33, 11, 30, 14 and the Thunderball number was 04.

The Mirror earlier reported that a lucky ticket-holder had claimed a £13.1 million Lotto jackpot for the 'Must be Won' draw on July 7.

The ticket-holder's claim will be checked and if everything matches up the huge prize will be theirs.

The potential winner will get the chance to go public after the validation process is complete and they have been paid.

Senior winners’ advisor Andy Carter earlier said: "What sensational and sunny news for one lucky Lotto player.

"We will now look to support the ticket-holder through the process and help them to start to enjoy their life-changing win.”

As well as changing lives of the prize winners, the National Lottery funds projects all over the UK.

Every week part of the ticket sales goes towards good causes.

Players have to be aged 16 and over and physically in the UK or Isle of Man.

Lotto draws take place on Wednesday and Saturday evenings from about 7.45pm.

Tickets are on sale from most UK newsagents and supermarkets from 8am to 11pm on most days, except when there’s a draw, in which case tickets can be purchased until an hour before.
