Lucky punter turns €15 into nearly €25,000 from bet on virtual horse racing

A lucky Irish punter turned €15 into almost €25,000 with a bet on virtual horse racing.

The Cork bettor picked out four horses in a €1 Lucky 15 wager at Sprint Valley, Portman Park and Steepledowns.

First up Marianas won at 25/1 before Forthegrill kept the ball rolling at an even bigger 28/1.

And then when Fast Breeder passed the virtual line first at 28/1 also, it didn't matter that Ocampo failed to win.

The punter had already pocketed a mouth-watering €24,299 from three big-priced winners.

BoyleSports spokeswoman Sarah Kinsella said: “ This is the second large virtual horse racing win we have paid out on this week and we are delighted for our Cork customer who struck gold with their Lucky 15 to take home a stunning €24,299. We hope they enjoy splashing out during the festive season.”
