Lucky Nottinghamshire neighbours celebrate People's Postcode Lottery win

Three people in Nottinghamshire are celebrating after winning £1,000 each thanks to their postcode.

The Starth Wood Road neighbours in Hucknall netted the windfall when NG15 6SF was announced as a daily prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Tuesday, May 12.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson said: “I’m so pleased for our winners today, congratulations to them. I hope they treat themselves to something nice with their winnings.”

A minimum of 32 percent of ticket sales go directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by the NSPCC, which has received more than £3.9 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery.

It helps children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protects those at risk, and works to find new ways to prevent abuse from happening.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can next apply for funding in August.

It costs £10 a month to play and winning postcodes are announced every day.
