A Glasgow pensioner has won a £50k bingo jackpot less than 24 hours after the club reopened from lockdown.
The 71-year-old, who has not been named, is said to be shocked after scooping the massive prize at Mecca Glasgow Forge.
He had popped in after they opened their doors back up last month and ended up claiming the life changing cash from the National Bingo Game.
The OAP, who has been playing has been playing at Mecca Bingo for over 10 years, was gob smacked as he called 'house!' when all his numbers came up.
Now he plans to treat his wife as he celebrates the win.
The lucky National Game Bingo winner said: “I was so happy when I realised I had won, it was very unexpected but absolutely brilliant.
"I have a lot of friends at the club after playing for 10 years, so I had so many people to celebrate with as I usually go to Mecca alone.
"I had only ever won £700 before this!”
The jackpot-winning club regular hasn’t yet decided what he wants to spend his winnings on, but knows it will be something that him and his wife can both enjoy.
