Car crashes through two houses, collapsing bedroom wall onto sleeping woman

The car crashed through the wall of the woman's bedroom, showering her with rubble.

A Kardinya woman is recovering after an alleged drink driver crashed his car through the wall of her bedroom while was sleeping.

Police say she was lucky to escape with minor injuries after the wall collapsed onto her about 2:30am.

It's alleged the man lost control of his car, crashed into a parked four-wheel-drive and took out a water main before continuing through a vacant block and then crashing into the woman's house.

He then reversed out of the Piercy Way home and crashed into the house next door, causing minor damage.

Police allege the man fled the scene and his damaged car was spotted in a driveway a few streets away.

Police have found the driver but are yet to lay charges.

The woman's husband called triple zero.

She was taken to Royal Perth Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
