A lucky punter scooped a life-changing €287,720 in last night's EuroMillions draw.
The Quick Pick ticket was sold yesterday in the Centra store in the Point Campus on Mayor Street Upper, Co Dublin.
The lucky ticketholder came agonisingly close to the mammoth top prize of €139,970,283, falling just one number short of the jackpot.
Last night's winning numbers were 10, 14, 22, 40, 48 and the two lucky stars were 2 and 5.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “While this lucky player just fell short of the whopping €139,970,283 EuroMillions jackpot, €287,720 is still a huge amount of money.
"We are encouraging all of our players in Dublin city to check their tickets carefully and if you do happen to be this lucky ticketholder please do keep the ticket safe, sign the back of it and contact our prize claims team on 01 836 4444 and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize in the National Lottery Winner’s Room."
There was no winner of the jackpot, which will now roll over to an eye-watering €150 million next Tuesday.
