On a week when Liverpool ended a 30-year drought for a league title, a lucky Dublin punter scooped a massive €1m prize bond jackpot last night after almost a decade wait.
The million-euro prize bond jackpot went to lucky number OU 121530 belonging to a Dubliner who purchased the golden ticket in 2011.
There were over 5,300 prizes awarded in this week’s Prize Bond Draw, amounting to over €1,282,000.
In addition to a €1 million prize awarded on the last weekly draw of June and December, there are also weekly draws where the top prize is €50,000.
Other cash prizes awarded each week include 10 prizes of €1,000 and 10 prizes of €500.
All prize bond winnings are tax-free, and can be cashed in at any time after the minimum holding period of three months.
