LUCKNOW: Two people were arrested on Saturday for duping thousands of youths by promising professional degress and high school and intermediate marksheets with high grades.
The arrested men were identified as Manish Pratap Singh (54), Amit Sisodia and Govind Agrawal. Their aides, Nakul, Samreen Khan and Halim Khan managed to escape.
The team recovered 180 fake marksheets, 17 stamps and inkpads, three mobile phones and Rs 28,000 cash, besides other documents.
ADCP, east, Qasim Abidi said: “The accused used to give fake degrees from high school marksheets to nursing, computer and ITI courses. A list of about 5,000 students has been recovered.”
