Lucknow: Rs 116 crore assets of real estate firm attached

LUCKNOW: Lucknow police on Tuesday attached property worth Rs 116 crore of a real estate firm accused of duping several investors of crore of rupees.

According to police, properties in Hazratganj and Badshahnagar were seized on Tuesday, while the rest in Gudumba area will be seized on Wednesday.

The real estate company started in the city in 2007 in which hundreds of people invested. However, investors waited for years to get the possession of their flat or their money back but got no response from the firm. Finally, they lodged an FIR against the firm.

The first FIR against director of the firm Paresh Rastogi was lodged in 2018 at Hazratganj police station followed by 81 other FIRs in different police stations of the city.

Station House Officer, Hazratganj police station, Akhilesh Kumar Mishra said that the property of the firm was attached under the provisions of the Gangster Act.
