LUCKNOW: A property dealer was found dead under mysterious circumstances in an apartment in Sushant Golf City area on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Vineet Kumar Verma, 37.
Police said Vineet lived with his wife and two daughters at his in-laws’ house in Gudamba and had been missing since December 27. The victim's family who had been searching for him, came to know about his whereabouts through one of his friends who had gifted a TV to Vineet on January 3.
The family contacted the worker who had installed the TV at the apartment. The family went to the apartment on January 5, but since no one responded, they forcefully broke opened the door, and found Vineet’s body.
ACP, Gosaiganj, Swati Chaudhary, said, “We have registered an FIR under the charges of murder.”
