LUCKNOW: For the first time, National PG College will conduct a common entrance test for admission to BSc and BCom. The test will be applicable for eight other colleges affiliated to Lucknow University.
These colleges have opted for the centralized admission test of NPGC over that of LU which has been conducting a common entrance test for the past two years. According to sources, these colleges had requested NPGC to conduct the test as they found LU's centralized admission process complex and time-taking.
The colleges include Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies, Dayal Group of Institutions, College of Innovative Management and Science and Modern Girls' College of Professional Studies, among others.
Besides, after a gap of two years, NPGC will also conduct the Lucknow University Associated College Management Admission Test (LUACMAT) for admission to professional courses offered in 10 LU-affiliated colleges.
These colleges are College of Innovative Management and Science, Dayal Group of Institutions, Himalayan Institute of Technology and Management, Integral and Innovative Sustainable Education College, Lucknow College of Professional Studies, Modern Girls' College of Professional Studies, School of Management Sciences, Sherwood College of Management, Shri Ram Swaroop College of Management and NPGC itself.
"We will conduct the entrance test for BSc on July 7 and for BCom on July 8. Due to the pandemic, the college could not conduct LUACMAT for the past two years but this year the entrance test for professional courses will be held on July 9. The results will be declared by the third week of July," said NPGC admission coordinator Rakesh Jain.
By qualifying LUACMAT, a candidate will be able to get admission in BBA, BBA MS, BBA Tourism, BCA, BCom Hons, BJMC, BBA IB and BVoc courses offered at 10 colleges.
The last date to apply is June 20. Other information is on the official website of the college.
