LUCKNOW: A 17-year-old Nepali girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her school hostel under the BBD police station late on Thursday night.
The school staff rushed the minor to a private hospital where doctors pronounced her dead. The minor’s hometown is in Nepalgunj of Nepal. Police have informed the minor’s family.
According to police, the hostel warden spotted the deceased in a common room hanging from a fan with ‘dupatta’ around her neck. With the help of staff and students the minor was brought down from the fan. At that time she was barely breathing. The staff took her to a hospital in Barabanki. Station House Officer, BBD police station, Atul Kumar Singh said that according to the students the minor was under severe stress for the past two days.
