Lucknow hospitals ready to tackle Holi mishap cases

LUCKNOW: Hospitals and medical education institutions in the city have geared up to deal with the influx of patients likely to come at emergency on and after the Holi day.

While almost all the prominent hospitals of the city have put extra staff on emergency duty to deal with probable injured patients, many have reserved beds for patients and also issued 24 hours helpline numbers for patients' convenience.

King George's Medical University (KGMU) has reserved 20 beds for trauma emergencies.

Likewise, SPM Civil hospital has put extra doctors from multiple disciplines on emergency duty. Besides, 15 beds have also been reserved for such patients.

At Balrampur hospital other than deploying extra emergency staff; four doctors, 10 nursing staff and para medical personnel have been put on reserve.

Besides, similar arrangements have been made at Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) Lok Bandhu, BRD and RSM hospitals.

Chief medical officer (CMO) Dr Manoj Agrawal said, “A circular has been issued to all the district hospitals to be vigilant during the festival and deploy extra staff for emergency duty.”
