Lucknow Development Authority low-budget housing scheme to light up this Diwali

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority is set to launch an affordable housing project on Mahona Road by Diwali this year.

The decision to launch the first phase of the project was taken in a review meeting on Friday.

A private real estate developer has been asked to submit a proposal for the project on the basis of the detailed project report.

“For security purposes, a police outpost will be set up after consultation with the police commissioner. A 220 kV power sub-station will be developed on 40,000 sq m area in Kaliakheda area for the housing project,” said vice chairperson Akshay Tripathi. A dedicated office, Mahona City Project Implementation Unit, will be set up in LDA building. Mahona Road scheme will be built on 668 acres of acquired land of Pyarepur and Kalia Kheda villages. Also, 115 acres of land of village society will be reclaimed.

Under the scheme, EWS (economically weaker section) and LIG (lower income group) buildings/plots will also be constructed and created for all income groups. For better connectivity, it will be connected to Kisan Path through a 60m wide road.
