Lucknow: 18,000 take vax shots in 24 hours

LUCKNOW: At least 17,944 people in the city were jabbed against Covid-19 on Saturday. Of these, 16,145 people received the second shot of the two-dose vaccine course in the special drive carried out at government centres.

Among beneficiaries, 73% were aged between 18-44 years followed by 18% in the 45-59 years group and 7% elderly. The rest were healthcare and frontline workers.

Meanwhile, three more persons tested Covid-19 positive in the city on Saturday, while a patient recovered. The active cases were 29.
