LUCKNOW: The transmission rate of Covid-19 continued to rise in the city with 169 patients getting diagnosed with novel coronavirus infection on Tuesday. At the same time, 171 patients diagnosed with the disease earlier, succeeded in defeating the virus.
The fresh cases included 84 women and two children.
As many as 41 people came under the grip of the virus in Chinhat while 19 Aliganj residents tested positive. From Kaiserbagh, Alambagh and Indiranagar 16 people each were found infectedAmong those who tested positive, 39 were suffering from fever and cold, 27 people had a travel history while others came in contact with patients diagnosed with infection earlier.Chief medical officer Dr Manoj Agrawal said, "While infection rate is slightly high, recoveries are also increasing."
