Lucifer fans are struggling to contain their excitement after the writing for series six was concluded.
British star Tom Ellis will return for a another run on the Netflix hit in 2021.
Those behind the series had expected the fifth run to be the show's last - and filmed the episodes with that in mind.
But an extra installment was added after gripped viewers demanded more.
Now co-writer Ildy Modrovich has those fans ready to explode with excitement.
The writer explained season six has been written and it appears filming won't be too far away, either.
That means there is every chance the next run will hit our screens in early summer 2021.
However, it seems the series has reached a sad milestone as she posted a heartbreaking tweet.
"Last day in the Lucifer Writer's Room," she said with a picture of a Zoom call with her fellow writers.
"These people inspire me beyond words.
"How is it that a heart can feel so full and yet be breaking at the same time? #if**kinglovethemsomuch #imnotcryingyourecrying."
Series five was widely expected to be the last.
But speaking to Metro, Detective Douche actor Kevin Alejandro said the U-turn took many by surprise.
"All of us went into it, and continued throughout the journey, up until the episode before the last one, thinking this was our series finale. That this [season five] was the show finale."
Admitting that they were "thrown for a loop" by the surprising news, the show's writers made a swift turnaround to amend the storylines in the episode.
Kevin added: "I didn't think they could. I think they didn't think they could do it, but lo and behold, they figured out a really cool way to excel through season six."
