Lucid Motors has officially started selling certified pre-owned electric cars, in addition to traditional used models. Dubbed Lucid Recharged, the startup’s certified pre-owned program includes an additional warranty, a comprehensive multi-point inspection and cars that have fewer than 62,000 miles on the odometer.
Only single-owner vehicles are considered for the program. Each eligible EV then goes through a 160+ point inspection and, if necessary, goes through a mechanical and cosmetic reconditioning process that only uses Lucid-approved parts.

All certified pre-owned Lucid EVs retain the original four-year/50,000-mile factory warranty, but also get an additional 12-month/12,000-mile manufacturer's limited warranty. Roadside assistance, a verified clean title and service history, a Carfax report, and an inspection report are also offered as part of the Recharged program for the full warranty period.
“Lucid Recharged certified pre-owned isn’t just a used car – it’s a Lucid reborn,” said Erwin Raphael, SVP of Revenue at Lucid. “Now it’s easier than ever to enjoy the innovation, performance, and safety for which Lucid is known, along with the added confidence and peace of mind from a Lucid-backed reconditioning and additional CPO warranty coverage.”
Depreciation is the name of the game here, and it could land car shoppers some great deals. Now that Lucid is backing up used vehicles with a factory warranty, the proposition just got a little more enticing. Currently, the cheapest certified pre-owned Lucid listed on the company’s website is a 2023 Air Pure sedan, which sells for $47,498. That’s a 410-mile, 480-horsepower luxury four-door sedan that comes with all-wheel drive and impressive efficiency figures.
By comparison, the cheapest 2026 Lucid Air Pure is available for $62,400, nearly $15,000 more than the used one. The new model comes with a single rear motor and 430 hp, but the range is 420 miles.
Lucid also sells used cars that don’t go through its certification program and don’t get the additional warranty. These sell for even less, with the cheapest one for sale now on the startup’s website retailing for $45,498–a 2023 Lucid Air Pure with a little under 20,000 miles, all-wheel drive and plenty of the original warranty still left.
As EV startups keep going–sometimes against all odds–their initial batches of cars are coming up for sale on the used market, and the companies are trying to maximize their revenue by selling them directly to customers. Tesla has been doing this for years, with Rivian going into the used car business last year. Now, Lucid has followed suit.
