Lucas Torreira would be prepared to return to Arsenal provided Mikel Arteta gave him sufficient opportunities.
The Uruguayan was sent out on loan to Atletico Madrid in the summer having struggled for minutes.
Torreira has by no means nailed down a regular start in Spain meaning he has a decision to make on his future.
Atletico have no purchase obligation regarding the midfielder leaving his options open.
Arteta has shown a willingness to bring players back and reintegrate them if he feels it will benefit the squad.
And Torreira is willing to make a north London return, but only on the basis that he would be given chances to play, reports the Athletic.

The 25-year-old, who was signed in 2018, is not prepared to play a peripheral role once more.
He rarely featured following Arteta's arrival in December 2019 which led to his loan move away.
The Arsenal boss insists they have been keeping tabs on his progress and want to make the right decision by him.
“We have been talking to Lucas, Edu has been very close to the situation," he said previously.

"He hasn’t been playing as many minutes as he would like, as we would like, but to be fair the team is doing so well in Spain and it is understandable they don’t change the team so much.
"We just want to be right behind Lucas, protect him, help him make the right decisions for the future.”
Torreira's father however has been outspoken this term regarding Arteta's treatment of his son.
"Lucas is honest and wants to leave his soul on the pitch," he claimed. "But that is defined by the coaches and for the current Arsenal manager he didn’t count."
Torreira cost the Gunners £26m when he moved from Sampdoria and has gone on to make 89 appearances.
