Torreira, Ramsey and Suarez - Latest Arsenal injury news and expected return dates

Unai Emery goes into the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final against Napoli sweating on the fitness of one key player after a bruising win at Watford on Monday night.

Lucas Torreira was withdrawn at half-time at Vicarage Road with what Emery would subsequently reveal was a recurrence of an injury, understood to be pain in his groin, that had forced him out of the previous game, a 2-0 victory over Carlo Ancelotti's side that has the Gunners firmly in the ascendancy in the tie.

Torreira will undergo further assessments before Arsenal fly out to Naples but football.london understands he is expected to be available.

The incredible stats that prove Manchester United star would be the perfect signing for Arsenal

Whether or not his fitness is sufficient for him to start remains to be seen.

Denis Suarez is also suffering with minor groin issues though it is a matter that is open to debate whether Emery would take the Barcelona loanee on the trip such has been the minimal impact he has made since arriving in January.

Those two aside Arsenal's only injury concerns are long-term ones, with Danny Welbeck, Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin all expected to miss the remainder of the season.

How Emery lines up his side to preserve a two-goal lead in the intimidating Stadio San Paolo will be intriguing.

With Sokratis Papastathopoulos available - he is suspended for the next Premier League game - the Arsenal head coach is expected to revert back to the three man defence that has served him well in recent weeks.

Arsenal are acutely aware that they cannot necessarily rely on their defence to stop Napoli from overturning the two goal deficit but that equally a high-powered attack can make life far more difficult for Ancelotti's men with just a single goal.

As such Emery is expected to name a strong lineup capable of taking the game to their hosts.
