Lucas Torreira's next move revealed as Arsenal fans hail 'signing of the summer' from PSG

Here's all the news from around the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Daniel Ek breaks silence after Stan Kroenke statement

Spotify co-founder Daniel Ek still wants to buy Arsenal.

This is despite a statement from the club's current owners KSE (Kroenke Sports & Entertainment) saying they won't be entertaining any offers.

A statement from KSE released on Tuesday evening reads: "In recent days we have noted media speculation regarding a potential takeover bid for Arsenal Football Club. We remain 100% committed to Arsenal and are not selling any stake in the Club. We have not received any offer and we will not entertain any offer.

"Our ambition for Arsenal remains to compete to win the biggest trophies in the game and our focus remains on improving our competitiveness on the pitch to achieve this.

"Stan Kroenke and Josh Kroenke Kroenke, Sports & Entertainment."

Who Is Daniel Ek?

However, Ek has not been put off by this stance and has reaffirmed that he intends to make a bid for the club sooner rather than later.

"Well you know I've been an Arsenal fan since I was 8," he told CNBC. "Arsenal is my team, I love the history, I love the players and of course I love the fans.

"So, as I look at that I just see a tremendous opportunity to set a real ambition for the club to bring it back to it’s glory. I want to establish trust with fans and I want to engage with fans again.

"So to answer your question I'm very serious. I’ve secured the funds for it and I want to bring what I think is a very compelling offer to the owners. I hope they hear me out."

Fans hail Bruno Mazziotti

Bruno Mazziotti was part of the Paris Saint-Germain medical team as recently as last season and announced his move to Arsenal on Instagram at the beginning of the year.

And some Gunners fans are crediting the Brazilian physio for a triple injury boost.

Speaking in his pre-Villarreal press conference on Wednesday morning, Mikel Arteta revealed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, and Kieran Tierney are all in contention for the Europa League semi-final first leg.

In the cases of Lacazette and Tierney, it is somewhat of a surprise to many that the pair could return to the squad as they were expected to be on the sidelines for a little while longer.

However, their seemingly miraculous recoveries have, as expected, garnered a massive response from many Arsenal fans on social media as many think Mazziotti has worked his magic.

In fact, one supporter thinks the Brazilian is Arsenal's 'signing of the summer' - despite the fact he joined in January.

Lucas Torreira's next move revealed

Lucas Torreira will not play for Arsenal again.

That is the view of his father, Ricardo, who has stated his belief that the midfielder will either join Boca Juniors in Argentina or remain in Europe with either a Serie A or Ligue 1 side.

"The arrival of Lucas Torreira to Boca will be quite difficult, there hasn’t been a movement of the situation. It happened only from a wish, we generated an inconvenience to Boca,” Ricardo Torreira told Show de Boca, as per Sport Witness.

"Probably, I don’t know if Boca are in a position to face what Arsenal will ask for Lucas’s loan. I don’t know… Maybe for that money he can get a number 5 in South America.

"Surely, I do not think Lucas will play for Arsenal this year. If it’s not Boca, his destiny will be Italy or France.

"We are left with the desire, instead of generating joy we generate an inconvenience to Boca’s leadership.”
