Lucas Ocampos 'emerges as another alternative to Sancho' for Man United and more transfer rumours

Sevilla forward Lucas Ocampos has emerged as the latest potential alternative to Jadon Sancho for Manchester United, according to reprots.

With just three days of the summer transfer window remaining United are still attempting to make further reinforcements to their squad, with Donny van de Beek the only signing so far.

It's understood that club remain in talks with Porto over the transfer of Alex Telles but that a new right-winger is still the priority.

Borussia Dortmund star Sancho has been the top target throughout the summer but United have once again been unable to sign him and the German side are adamant he will not leave the club before the October 5 deadline.

United have been unwilling to meet Dortmund's €120million valuation and, while they haven't given up on the deal, are actively searching for alternatives.

David Brooks, Ivan Perisic and Douglas Costa have all been considered and the latest name to be linked is Argentine Ocampos.

Ocampos only joined Sevilla last summer, after previously failing to live up to his potential at his former clubs, but enjoyed a great season in Spain, scoring 17 goals and laying on five assists.

According to ESPN, the 26-year-old has emerged as another option for United if they can't sign Sancho, and that the club have made extensive checks over his skill-set, temperament and situation with Sevilla.

He still has four years remaining on his contract but, it's reported, the La Liga side would be willing to part with him for around €40m.

An alternative may be needed as Sancho will reportedly not force a transfer from Dortmund ahead of deadline day.

The Daily Mail suggest Sancho has no plans to push for a late move in order to pressure Dortmund into lowering their asking price.

Sancho remains a priority target for United who have not meet Dortmund's valuation yet.
