Tottenham have it all to do in their Champions League semi-final tie against Ajax following a 1-0 defeat in the first leg last night (Tuesday).
A goal from Donny van de Beek after just 15 minutes gave the Dutch side the advantage in the tie, meaning that Spurs will have to score in Amsterdam in the second leg to have any chance of progressing to the final.
And Spurs star Christian Eriksen admitted that Tottenham were below par in the home leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while boss Mauricio Pochettino said that his side paid the price for how they started the game.
"I think we didn't find a way to play…. the team didn't show the energy that we wanted to show," he said.
"I think they showed more energy than us. I think the way that we conceded the goal was so painful. We were so poor in this action and it's true in the first half hour of the game we struggled because they showed more energy, they were more proactive than us. That was the key."
Nevertheless, Spurs will head to Holland for the second leg next Wednesday still in the tie, after Ajax hit the post in the second half.
And Pochettino insists that it is still all to play for in the tie, adding that Spurs know what they need to do in Amsterdam.
"I think it's still open. It's going to be difficult because we lost the game," he said.
"Now it's about preparing for the second leg and go there and try to win the game. We need one result and that is to win. We want to be in the final.
Meanwhile, Tottenham star Lucas Moura has sent a message to supporters following the game, telling fans via a post on social networking website Instagram: "I believe."
Spurs will have Son Heung-min available for the second leg, after he missed last night's game through suspension.
