Lucas Moura's incredible Champions League record for Tottenham after Olympiacos wonder goal

Some things are almost inevitable - and Lucas Moura scoring goals in the Champions League away from home is becoming close to that.

The Brazilian forward has been the man for the big occasion in the Champions League in recent times for Tottenham, scoring some vital goals for Mauricio Pochettino's men on their way to the final last season.

It started in the group stage of the competition last season, with Lucas scoring against PSV Eindhoven and a vital late goal against Barcelona, which helped to secure Tottenham's place in the knockout stages of the competition.

Moura was then the star of the show for Spurs in the semi-final, with the Brazilian scoring a hat-trick in Amsterdam as Tottenham came from 2-0 down to beat Ajax 3-2 in the second leg to seal a place in the Champions League final against Liverpool.

And the 27-year-old was at it again this evening (Wednesday), scoring the second goal in Greece as Spurs opened up a 2-0 lead at the Karaiskakis Stadium against Olympiacos, adding to Harry Kane's penalty earlier on in the first half.

The hosts came storming back though, with goals from Daniel Podence and Mathieu Valbuena helping the Greek side come from two goals down to earn a point against Pochettino's men.

But Moura's superbly driven shot from just outside the box was his fourth goal in his last three Champions League appearances for Tottenham, while he has only scored one goal in his last nine Premier League appearances for the Lilywhites.

It was his sixth goal in the Champions League for Tottenham, all of which have come away from home.

It is an incredible record, with the Brazilian yet to score a goal at home in the competition for Pochettino's men, and his latest goal has got some Spurs fans talking when it comes to what he has done for Tottenham in the Champions League, since joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018.
