Lucas Moura has stated that the Spurs team must not lose their heads as they look to put things right after a difficult start to the season.
Heading into the campaign with so much optimism following their run to the Champions League final and the club spending big money in the transfer market, it really has been a hugely disappointing start in both the league and in Europe.
Tottenham needed a late goal from Dele Alli to grab a point against Watford on Saturday, with the team showing no signs of improvement from their performances prior to the international break.
The European clash against Red Star Belgrade gives the team the perfect chance to put things right and the Brazilian knows that the quality in the squad can see them get back on an upward curve.
"We need to learn from every game and every situation, we need to take the positives and improve on the negative things," he told the club's matchday programme.
"But we need to know that sometimes these difficult times are normal and they happen in football. You have to know how to suffer and pass a moment like this because this happens with most teams.
"Of course, we need to learn from our mistakes, but I don't think we should lose our heads.
"Yes, it is a bad situation but in the Champions League, we are already in a better situation than we were last year.
"The best thing is that we know we have the ability in the squad to do just that and overcome the situation. So, we need to be strong in our minds and have a good mentality."
