Lucas Moura hopes Tottenham will now see the best of him after he was shifted to his preferred position.
Despite his Champions League heroics last season the Brazilian was frustrated at being played in an unfamiliar role.
Mauricio Pochettino deployed Lucas as the main striker at times, but he was determined to do a job for the team.
The 27-year-old though has been pushed out wide by new manager Jose Mourinho which has improved his mood.
“Every player wants to play, it doesn't matter the position,” Moura said “But everyone knows I am not a No.9, it is not my best position.

“When Mauricio Pochettino put me there I always gave my best because for me the most important thing is the team but each coach has one opinion, a different mind.
“Now I feel very good in this position. I always played in this position, I feel good and I am happy."
Mourinho's admiration for Lucas dates back to before he joined PSG in 2013 as it was recently revealed the Special One, then in charge of Real Madrid , tried to bring him to Spain.

The French side eventually won the battle for his signature before he moved to north London five years later.
“Yeah it is true,” he said. “When I was at Sau Paulo I had a conversation with him - not me but my agent and parents. In the last moment PSG went in and I decided to go to Paris.
“I am happy he likes me and he said it, it is very important to me to have this confidence from the coach and I hope to help him, help the team. I will always give my best and I am happy for the opportunity he has given me."
Mourinho has won his opening two games in charge against West Ham and Olympiacos.
His arrival was met with mixed emotions, but Lucas is in no doubt the Portuguese manager enhances their chances of winning silverware.
“Everyone knows him. I don't need to speak about him because he is a winner, a champion. He has a lot of trophies and I am sure he has too much to bring for us and to add to our team, our club.
“Everyone is optimistic with him and we believe in his job.
“At the same time, he said he believes in us, that he trusts in us and that we have a lot of quality."
