Lucas Digne shares training update as Everton defender continues recovery

Lucas Digne has shared a latest update from his training as the Everton defender continues his recovery from injury.

Last week, it was confirmed that the France international had suffered an ankle ligament problem at Finch Farm and would be ruled out for around two months, requiring surgery on the issue.

The left back underwent that procedure on Monday and has now begun a period of recovery, looking to get back on the pitch for the Blues as soon as he possibly can.

And, while training is clearly limited for the defender at the moment, he is determined to keep himself as fit as possible while his ankle heals.

The 27-year-old shared a video onto his Instagram story of him working in a gym on some training ropes to keep a level of fitness while his left foot is in a cast.

The caption along with the video reads; "No day off."

Digne is Everton's leading assist-maker in the Premier League so far this term with four, but will miss a crucial festive period for his side following his injury.

Carlo Ancelotti later said : "It is a big loss because he is a fantastic left back.

"One of the best in Europe in this moment.

"We have to manage this, unfortunately during a season can happen that you lose important players and we have to be able to manage the situation."
