Lucas Digne's flip-flops, Kurt Zouma's skill and other moments missed from Everton's win over Burnley

Everton finished their 2018/19 home campaign in style with a 2-0 win over Burnley on Friday night.

The Blues went into the match in brilliant form at Goodison Park, having won their last three matches on their home turf against a string of tough opposition.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United all travelled to the blue half of Merseyside and all returned home without scoring a goal and without any points.

Marco Silva's side made sure Burnley suffered the same fate thanks to an early own goal from Ben Mee and a Seamus Coleman header.

But did you spot every moment from the match?

We've picked up on a few things you might have missed...

Pre-match wrestling

Watching Everton's pre-match warm-ups are becoming a real source of entertainment.

The mood around the club over the last few weeks has certainly been a lot better, and that's clearly filtering down to the players on the pitch as well.

So, while the first team were busy with their drills getting ready for the test of Burnley, the substitutes have a bit of an easier time of it.

Everton still chasing European prize as players show every match matters

They can do their own stretches, running drills or work with the ball at their feet - and on Friday clearly Cenk Tosun and Tom Davies had the same idea.

There was one football available to them, both wanted it, and they had a bit of a wrestle to see who would claim it.

Turkish international Tosun came out on top, before the pair shared a few passes together with big smiles on their faces.

The flip-flops are on

Well, at least this didn't happen before the match.

We all know what these end of season games are sometimes like, especially between two sides with relatively little to play for this season.

Thankfully in Everton's case, Silva was able to motivate his players with a slim hope of potential European football - and their solid display proved the flip-flops weren't on yet.

Well, until the lap of appreciation in any case.

Lucas Digne walked down the tunnel with the rest of his teammates, and came back onto the pitch a few minutes later with his newborn baby in his arms - and flip-flops on.

If he's going to walk around the pitch, he's going to make sure he's comfortable doing it.

Although it wasn't exactly warm at Goodison Park on Friday night!

Confident Zouma

Kurt Zouma was really very good once more against Burnley.

No-one inside the stadium was surprised by that though.

The Chelsea loanee has been in great form throughout the majority of the season, but has stepped it up a further gear over the last few weeks and months.

It was no different on Friday night, but the first half was especially where the 24-year-old was showing off.

At one point the visitors lumped a long ball forward towards Barnes but instead found Zouma, who was confident enough to play a calm and brilliant chest pass over to his centre-back partner Michael Keane.

Lovely to see.

Calvert-Lewin's pace

If you were ever in doubt about Dominic Calvert-Lewin's pace, then look no further than one particular moment in the second half.

The striker unfortunately wasn't able to get himself on the scoresheet once more, but that shouldn't detract from his influence once again as part of Silva's team.

He was pivotal in setting up the Blues' first goal with some great hold-up play and patience before laying the ball off to Richarlison - and those qualities were a theme throughout his performance.

One aspect of his game we really haven't seen all that much of recently however is his blistering pace - but he showed exactly what he was all about in the second half.

Chasing down the back-tracking James Tarkowski, Calvert-Lewin ate up an incredible amount of ground to eventually put the centre-back under pressure before passing back to Tom Heaton.

Perhaps that's a quality Everton should be looking to exploit more often.

Another amazing gesture

And we finish off with another amazing gesture from the Blues.

This has become a really nice tradition at the end of games, with a multitude of players sticking around for autographs and selfies with supporters at the end of matches.

And Friday was no exception.

Not only did Phil Jagielka and Theo Walcott stay late though, so did the manager.

All three were still on the pitch well after the lap of appreciation was over, which is really nice to see.
