Lucas Digne remains confident he will be fit to face Liverpool on Saturday despite picking up a knee injury when playing for France.
The Everton left-back came off with seven minutes remaining of the World Champion’s game with Croatia last night.
A few minutes earlier, Digne had supplied an exquisite volleyed cross for Kylian Mbappe to put France back in front after Nikola Vlasic has levelled the game.
Digne, however, had to come off before the end. It instantly raised concerns about his availability for the weekend’s Merseyside derby.
But the ECHO has been told that, at this stage, Digne remains hopeful of being passed fit to face the Reds at Goodison.
Carlo Ancelotti is also sweating on the fitness of Yerry Mina (thigh).
But the Blues are hopeful Seamus Coleman, Allan and Andre Gomes will all be fit.
