Carlo Ancelotti has suggested Lucas Digne will agree a new Everton contract next week.
The 27-year-old is half-way through the five-year deal he signed in the summer of 2018 when signing from Barcelona and Ancelotti is keen to tie him down on improved terms.
Discussions over a new deal were opened before Christmas and the Everton manager believes an agreement is imminent.
Ancelotti said: "I'm not in there but I know, I think next week, they agreed.
"I think next week he is going to sign officially a new contract."
Digne is contracted until the summer of 2023 and the French international could be handed a new long-term deal similar to the one penned by Michael Keane in August.
Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Tom Davies and Yerry Mina are the other Everton players who have terms until 2023.
