Lucas Digne decision made as Rafa Benitez reveals Everton injury updates for Crystal Palace

Everton boss Rafa Benitez had provided an injury update on his side ahead of their trip to Selhurst Park on Sunday to take on Crystal Palace.

The Toffees picked up a crucial win last time out against Arsenal and will be hoping to get another good result against one of the capital's teams when they travel to south London this weekend.

Benitez, whose role at the club has come under fire in recent weeks due to an eight-game winless run, spoke to the media on Friday afternoon to provide an update on his squad's fitness.

He revealed that Sunday's match would come too soon for star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, whose thigh injury has kept him out of the Everton team since August.

Colombian centre-back Yerry Mina is also on the sidelines, having suffered a problem with his hamstring before picking up a calf injury to add to his problems.

Tom Davies has also been ruled out of the trip to Selhurst, with his knee injury meaning he won't start training with the team until next week at the earliest.

Lucas Digne's involvement on Sunday is also unknown, with the French full-back missing out on the win over Arsenal. Benitez revealed Digne had trained on Friday and that a decision would be made on Saturday as to whether he would travel with the team to London.

Everton are also closely monitoring midfielder Allan, who despite playing 90 minutes against Arsenal only managed half a training session on Friday due to muscle complaints.
