Celtic's new signing Luca Connell admits he was caught on the hop when the club announced his signing on Saturday.
The 18-year-old midfielder has penned a four-year deal with the Premiership champions but wasn't prepared for the social media flurry after the transfer was confirmed.
Connell has swapped Bolton for Celtic and the Republic of Ireland youth international cannot wait to get started at his new club.
The midfielder has joined up with his new team-mates in Austria and took part in a session before Neil Lennon 's side's secured a 2-1 win over Wiener in Vienna.
And the player admits his pals have been ribbing him for keeping his big move to the Premiership champions secret.
The midfielder told Celtic TV: "I was just sitting on my phone and I didn't know it was getting announced.
Having only broken into the Bolton side earlier this year, he's now targeting Champions League group stage qualification.
"All of a sudden it was going everywhere
"I noticed Celtic had put it on their Instagram and then I understood.
"It is a huge club and support, so I am grateful for that.
"Not one of my mates had a clue, They all thought I was sat in my house.
"They've all text me asking why I didn't tell them but it's one those ones."
The player is relishing the chance of mixing it in Glasgow and is backing himself to make a name for himself.
He said: It's unbelievable to sign for such a massive club, known all around the world.
"It's dream come true, what you dream of as a kid.
"I'm looking forward to all the league games but especially the Champions League.
"If I can make my debut in the Champions League, I'll need that confidence to play in that tournament.
"I believe in myself and I believe in my team-mates, they're half way through making history.
"Hopefully we can win 10-in-a-row."
