The Oklahoma City Thunder had once again made a double-digit comeback, but they saw their newfound lead slip in the waning minutes. With about 24 seconds left in the game, the score was tied and the Sacramento Kings had possession for what could have been the final shot of regulation. If it goes in, the Thunder’s winning streak ends at three games. If it does not, the teams would go to overtime.
But Lu Dort had different ideas. Oklahoma City’s defensive stud swiped the ball from De’Aaron Fox as the Kings guard tried to cross over from above the arc. Dort tracked the ball down, took it down court, and finished the tough layup around two defenders to put the Thunder up 105-103.
The Kings missed a shot on their final opportunity, and the game was over. The Thunder are now winners of four games in a row.
Twitter reacted to Dort’s exciting steal and layup that clinched the game for OKC.
