LTA to offer 50 free tickets per day to London key workers at Queen’s Club

The LTA is to give away 50 free tickets per day to key workers in London for Queen’s in June.

It is part of a more than 1,000-ticket giveaway by tennis’ national governing body across its summer series of grasscourt events.

The tickets will be offered to key workers local to each event from the NHS, police force, fire service, local transport workers and other local authority workers via their employers.

In total at the renamed cinch Championships at Queen’s from June 14 to 20, where capacity is expected to be 25 per cent of the normal, 50 free tickets will be handed out each day.

LTA chief executive Scott Lloyd said: “We are delighted to be able to make these tickets available to key workers to thank them for their incredible efforts over the past 14 months.

“Everyone at the LTA is very grateful for the sacrifices they made in what has been an exceptionally difficult time for the whole country and we sincerely hope that they will enjoy our events.

“Sport isn’t the same without spectators and, even though our events this year will operate with reduced capacity crowds, I can’t wait to see the supporters back in the stands – with key workers among them.”
