One aspect of the scouting world is compare college prospects to current players in the NFL. However, LSU Tigers cornerback Greedy Williams gets another kind of comparison.
According to Chase Goodbread of NFL.com, who was at Williams’ press conference at the NFL combine in Indianapolis Sunday, the 2018 All-American says he gets compared to actor and comedian Chris Rock all the time.
Of course, Rock would actually be more the size of a prototypical cornerback at 5-10. Williams, however, is a lengthy corner at 6-1, having a couple of inches on the two-time Emmy Award winner.
The Texans also met with Williams at the NFL combine in Indianapolis, and presumably not to find out what his best jokes were.
Williams has been projected as a late first-round pick. He could be there when the Texans pick at 23rd overall. If the Texans take Williams, they will have to find a way to still address their porous offensive line with their remaining three picks in the top-100, including twin second-rounders at 54 and 55 overall.
