LSU’s Emmitt Williams caused a huge mess by flopping into press row

It’s always an experience to sit courtside at an NCAA tournament game. You’re close to the action. You’re trying to work. You’re also required to keep your beverage in an NCAA corporate-sponsored cup with no lid.

Those worlds collided during Thursday’s first-round matchup between LSU and Yale.

The Tigers’ Emmitt Williams went flying into press row, taking out laptops, wires and one unfortunate media member’s drink in the process.

The indisputable best part about the press-row collision was that it was sparked from a flop by Williams. The LSU forward was trying to draw a foul and exaggerated the contact by throwing his momentum towards press row.

That left to a major clean-up effort in the media seating. At least the reporter was in good spirits.

Williams would also be fine. His jersey did have a noticeable stain, but that was about it.
