Beloved Loyola men’s basketball team chaplain Sister Jean Dolores Schmidt will appear on ESPN’s College GameDay Saturday morning.

Sister Jean, who turned 101 years old in August, will join host Rece Davis and analysts Jay Bilas, LaPhonso Ellis and Seth Greenberg, to preview the Ramblers’ weekend series at Drake. College GameDay airs at 10 a.m. on ESPN.

Loyola (17-3, 12-1 Missouri Valley Conference) is ranked No. 22 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, its first ranking in that poll since 1985. The Ramblers were never ranked in the regular season of their 2018 Final Four run.

The Ramblers are off to their best start through 20 games since 1965-66 (18-2) and are in first place in the Valley; the Bulldogs are in second place.

Loyola and Drake (19-1, 10-1 MVC) will play Saturday at 11 a.m. on ESPN2. Sunday’s game between the teams begins at 2 p.m. and also will be broadcast on ESPN2.
