Loyola rolls past Evansville for 10th consecutive win

Braden Norris had a game-high 19 points (6-for-9 shooting) to lead Loyola to its 10th consecutive victory, 69-58 over Evansville on Sunday at the Gentile Arena.

The Ramblers (17-3, 12-1 Missouri Valley Conference), who had four players score in double figures, have won 19 in a row at home dating to December 2019.

Loyola shot 58% for the game and held the Purple Aces (8-10, 6-6) to 17 points in the first half.

The Aces got the lead down to 58-52 with 3:01 remaining in the game on Jawaun Newton’s basket, but Keith Clemons’ three-pointer with 2:06 left sealed it for the Ramblers.

Cameron Krutwig scored 17 points on 6-for-8 shooting with six assists, six rebounds and two steals, and Aher Uguak added 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
