Lower Lucan Road partially closed after car flips onto its side

A busy West Dublin road was partially closed off after a collision.

Emergency services rushed to the scene after the car flipped onto its side on Lower Lucan Road just after 1pm.

The same road was the scene of a horror crash at the weekend in which a 11-year-old girl was rushed to hospital where she later passed away.

It's not believed anyone was seriously injured today.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are attending the scene of a single road traffic collision involving a car that occurred on the 15th January 2020 at approximately 1.20pm on the Lowe Lucan Road, Lucan, Co. Dublin.

"There are currently no serious injuries at this time."

The Dublin Fire Brigade said: "The Lower Road in Lucan is partially blocked following a collision, stop-go system in place."
