Iced coffee is becoming more popular than ever.
The different versions from coffeehouse chains can be really expensive and calorific.
Taste of Home has shared a simple recipe by Jenny Reece, that will only take you five minutes and will allow you to save some money while being a little bit healther.
The following ingredients makes two servings of iced coffee.
Each cup of this recipe is only 83 calories, and even less if you don't opt for the chocolate syrup.
Ingredients
- 4 teaspoons instant coffee granules
- 1 cup boiling water
- Sugar substitute equivalent to 4 teaspoons sugar, optional
- 1 cup skimmed milk
- 4 teaspoons chocolate syrup, optional
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
- Ice cubes
Method
Once you have all of the ingredients, it couldn't be simpler to make.
1. In a large bowl, dissolve the instant coffee in water.
2. Add sweetener if desired.
3. Stir in the milk, chocolate syrup and vanilla if these are preferred and mix well.
4. Serve over ice.
