A love struck commuter has appealed for a man who travels on her tram every day to ask her out.
On a busy metrolink in rush hour, many commuters can experience a crush or two, but for this commuter it is purely of the romantic kind....
The commuter took to Facebook to post in a Prestwich community group that there was a man on her tram from Prestwich to St Peter's Square who she has her heart set on. And she let him know she would be drinking in a local bar tonight. (November 25)

She posted: "The guy wearing the brown scarf on the daily commute Prestwich to Manchester St Peter’s Square tram. Every day we get on and off the tram together and every day I wish you’d ask me out. I’m the girl who dropped her files last week and you helped me pick them up. Talk to me! I’ll be in All The Shapes tonight if you want to chat."
The plea, posted on Facebook Group 'Original Prestwich People' was also posted on Twitter and both posts attracted lots of interested readers claiming to be invested in the unfolding potential love story.
Well wisher Jacqueline Woodhouse posted: "Aww I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. I hope he’s single and reads this post. Good luck. P.s You are very brave considering you’ll have to get the tram on Monday, could be awkward."
Another romantic hopeful, Natalie Dickson posted: "Well done for plucking up the courage to ask and post, hope he is available and you meet and really hit it off good luck we all love to love."
Shirley Brown posted: "Its like a film, hope you find him, while reader Barnett Davis urged the woman to take the bull by the horns and ask him out herself. She posted: You miss every shot you don’t take. Ask him out !!! Good luck."
Joker, Ian Malone added a bit of cheek to the comments, posting: "Any one wants a brown scarf I’m out side all shapes (SIC) I’ve also got England tops."
