'Lovely lad' stabbed to death days before Christmas

Tributes have been paid to a "lovely lad" who was stabbed to death days before Christmas.

Police and paramedics were called to Princess Drive in the early hours of Sunday, December 19, to reports that a man had been stabbed in the chest.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he died.

The man's age has not yet been confirmed by police.

Princess Drive and Aspes Road were sealed off by officers on Sunday as a murder investigation got underway.

Murder investigation launched after man's body found in flat

A murder investigation is underway after the body of a man was found in a flat.

Emergency services were called to Feltwood Close in West Derby at around 5.30am on Sunday, December 19.

Merseyside Police confirmed they were called following reports that a man's body had been found.

A police spokeswoman said a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men, aged 30 and 26, and a woman, aged 20, from Liverpool, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

They were taken to a police station in Merseyside for questioning by detectives and remain in custody.

EncroChat texts show how a dad-of-two was "corrupted" by the lure of "easy money" to transport cocaine and dirty cash.

Woolton roofer and charity volunteer Kevin Daniels, 40, was viewed as an "honest, trustworthy and an excellent worker" by colleagues.

But when he lost his job in late 2019, Liverpool Crown Court was told the family man turned to working as a courier for major drug dealers.

Daniels was exposed as the user of the profile "ExoticApe" when the covert phone network was hacked by police agencies last year.

He ferried at least 44 kilos of cocaine and handled £1.5m, "using his family home as a safehouse to store the vast amounts of money".
