Lovely family house goes on sale for £325,000 but you might need to change jobs

If ever there was proof that we should not judge a book by its cover, this house is probably it.

With its cosy living room, warm kitchen, separate dining room, and four attractive bedrooms, it looks like a lovely place to reside.

Not only does it have a guaranteed parking space, but it is in Atherington, a small village in North Devon, which offers a slice of tranquillity along the bustling coast.

Even the price isn't unexpectedly epensive for that part of the world, with the house advertised at £325,000.

Obviously, there is one unexpected thing. After all, the famous saying exists for a reason.

The house includes a village shop on the ground floor which is not currently in use (sadly) and sells a range of everyday items..

At the time that photographs were taken, there was still a range of items available in the store.

So maybe if you're lucky, you might not have to do a food shop after you move in....if you don't decide to keep the store running.

The front of the property was previously used as a tea garden for visitors, according to the advertisement on Rightmove.

Meanwhile, the main part of the house was used as a tea room and a post office.

The property listing says: "We understand that the core of the property has previously been run as a Tea Rooms, Shop and Post Office.

Fancy a lifestyle change? (rightmove)

"The owners are currently looking at obtaining a change of use for the former shop from commercial to residential use.

"The annexe has potential to sub-let to produce income or is ideal for use by relatives."

The description adds: "This is a very interesting and versatile property representing an opportunity for a lifestyle change.

"The premises is currently arranged as a residential dwelling with self-contained cottage annexe as well as a former village shop."

Outside of the house's unusual features, it includes four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a sitting and dining room.

The property has a rural feel, with wood ceiling beams and a cosy stone fireplace in the living room.

Buyers can also purchase a separate large detached garage/workshop and garden available for an extra £50,000.
