The coronavirus death toll in the UK has hit a grim milestone, with over 100,000 lives lost to the disease.
At the Manchester Evening News we have pledged to honour the memory of every victim who has died from our region.
We have already paid tribute to hundreds of people from Greater Manchester as part of our Loved and Lost series.
All of our tributes from 2020 are presented in our interactive widget here.
And this week we are honouring the memory of even more people.
Maria Rodgers
Maria worked as a cleaner at the GMB union and Jim McMahon offices in Oldham and was a very well loved member of staff.
She was family oriented and based everything she did in life around her children and grandchildren.
She was a die hard fan of F1 and got to fulfil her lifelong goal of going to Silverstone in 2019 and got a poster signed by Lewis Hamilton, her favourite driver.
Maria loved holidays abroad when she was able to and spent time at her son's caravan in North Wales by the sea.
The 64-year-old is sadly missed by all of her family.
She had three children, Mark, Amanda and Martin.

Four grandsons - Mark, Samuel, Matthew and William.
She also had a chihuahua; Timmy and cats.
Paying tribute, her daughter Amanda said: "We are all absolutely devastated by mum's passing and it is hard to function normally on a day to day basis knowing that we are missing the biggest part of our lives which connects us.
"We will not allow mums or 'little gran's' memory to fade, her amazing humour and live will not be forgotten."
She died on Dec 30 at the Royal Oldham Hospital in Amanda's arms and with her grandson Mark holding her hand.
David Merrell
David, who served as Mayor of Trafford from 1997 to 1998, leaves behind wife Catherine, two sons and three grandsons.
David, from Hale Barns, was well-known for his love of classic motorbikes and the Punch and Judy shows which he performed for many local charities.
He was married for 56 years, and died May 29.
He passed away age 82 at Timperley Care Home.
Terry Lees

Terry, from Chadderton in Oldham, was a devoted husband to Mary, fantastic dad and grandad.
The 76-year-old leaves a big gap in his family.
He was very active, loved the outdoor and was always cycling or hiking.
He had spent three weeks in Royal Oldham Hospital fighting for his life.

He died in ICU on November 23 with his daughter and grandson beside him.
Up until then his family had not been allowed to see him.
Daughter Tina Lees said: "We still can't believe you're gone, the heart of our family taken by Covid-19 in such a cruel way, we love you with all our hearts and love you deeply, until we meet again."
Georgina Flanagan
Georgina was originally from Leicester, and moved to Flixton around 1953.
Georgina was married to James Flanagan who passed away three years ago.
The 96-year-old had seven children, ten grandchildren and 10 great-grand children.
She served in the ATS as a Sergeant during World War Two, working in a munitions factory, where she met her future husband.
She raised seven children while working at a hairdressers, and as a dinner lady at St Monica’s School.
She loved singing and was a long time choir member of St Monica’s Church, and active in the mother’s union.
She loved gardening and was a wonderful mum, grandmother and great grandmother.

She passed away at Trafford General Hospital on November 24.
Paying tribute, daughter Helen Clarmo said: "Her loss has left a huge hole in the lives of her family.
"She was a beautiful, courageous woman, and she touched many people’s lives with her kindness and warm smile.
"We will miss her dreadfully."
Steven Mchale
Steven, from Glossop, was married to Patricia McHale, had children Carly McHale, Paul McHale and Adam McHale.
He was father-in-law to Mark, Jodie and Natalie.
Step father to Andrew, Carolyn and Martine.
Grandad to Jack, Ellis, Emma, Bailey, Lola, Lily, Simon, James, Sam and Josh.
Brother of Linda (twin), David, Wendy, Lorna, Stuart and brother-in-law to Paul, Shelagh, Mark, Alan, and Penny, and much loved uncle to very many.
Steven was born in 1952 a twin to Linda, both premature babies.
He weighed 1lb 10oz and was christened that night as he was not expected to live.
He fought from day one for life.
He joined the navy as a young lad and then worked for Rowpak Containers for the rest of his life, working his way from the bottom to becoming transport manager.

He was a hard working man who loved to socialise and was always there to help anyone who needed him.
He loved fishing, time with friends and family and when he retired at 60 due to ill health he used his time to travel visiting his twin on the Isle of Wight regularly.
Daughter Carly McHale said: "For the last seven years of his life my dad fought heart problems, sepsis, pneumonia and bowel cancer.
"But through it all he was still always good old dependable Steve who would do anything for anyone."
The 67-year-old passed away holding Carly's hand on May 14 at the Stamford unit, Tameside Hospital.
She added: "He always was and always will be our hero, a true "viking" with a thirst for life and a love for his family that was beyond words.
"He is missed more than he will ever know and loved beyond measure."
Kevin Atkins

Kevin lived in Walkden and was husband to Janet and dad to Chris and Lee.
He worked as a butcher for his entire life since the age of 15, first working a Saturday job on Bolton market.
His final job was working for Birtwistles Catering butchers based in Irlam. He worked there for over 20 years.
Kevin loved sport of all kinds but his love of cricket grew and grew. He was a member of Walkden Cricket Club and was an umpire too.
He enjoyed many happy hours with his friends there.
Kevin died aged 59 on November 29, 2020, at Salford Royal Hospital. He tested positive for Covid-19 in October.
Paying tribute, his wife Janet said: "A loving husband to Janet, and stepdad to their two sons.
"Kevin was all about his little family, providing for them, and protecting them, they were his world and he was theirs.
"We lost him far too soon, he had so much of life left to live."
Joyce Wilson

Joyce was a loving wife to her late husband Alan and had three daughters, Ann, Carol and Debbie, and one son Lee.
She had eight grandchildren - Jason, Vicki, Beverley, Peter, Nick, Stephen, Claire, and Sarah.
She also had 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild Leah.
Joyce worked for many years at Henry Lloyd, cooking in the canteen.
She loved her big family and enjoyed holidays with them.

All of her family lived close and visited Joyce regularly.
In a tribute for her, Beverley Holbrook said: "To Joyce you're very much missed, in this messed up word, your free to walk where it is safe.
"We all love and miss you very much.
"Wife mother nanna great nan and great great nan.xxxx"
Joyce died aged 92 in Bolton Hospital in March 2020 after testing positive for Covid.
Marilyn June Wooley

Marilyn lived in Springhead in Oldham.
She had a son Anthony, two daughters Denise and Sarah, was nan to Andrew, Danielle, Paul, Markus and Ryan and great nan to Layla, Jessie, Dylan, Alfie and Frankie.
She was also mother-in-law to Stephen and Lee.
Marilyn moved to Oldham from Stoke-on-Trent when she was six. Her parents bought a fish and chip shop in Greenacres where she then went onto live for over 50 years.
She was hardworking and worked at Ferantis, Universal, Hillards and later at the Royal Oldham Hospital as an auxiliary nurse.
Marilyn sadly died aged 76 at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
She passed away on December 9, 2020. She tested positive for Covid on December 2, a week after she was admitted to hospital with a leg infection.
Her daughter Denise said: "Our mum was a wonderful lady who was kind, funny, generous and hardworking.
"She was a inspiration to us as she fought the last 10 years in pain with lyphodema and never complained.
"She was one in a million and we will all miss her very much."
Roy Grundy

Roy lived in Droylsden and was father to Karen and Janet, grandad to Emma, Sara, Anthony, Steven and Mark and great grandad to Maisie and Freya.
He started working at age 13 at the Daily Express before joining the Army at 18.
He then moved to Gorton with his partner where he worked as a barber for 53 years.
He retired at 80 and moved to a flat in Droylsden, but Roy's daughter Janet said her mum died shortly after.
Roy loved bowling and was life long member of AEU in Openshaw. He then joined the Fitzroy club then stated bowling for Droylsden where he made great many friends.

He loved playing snooker with his son-in-law regularly. He enjoyed going on short holidays with his companion Enid.
He sadly died aged 90 at the Manchester Royal Infirmary on November 2 2020. He tested positive for Covid three days earlier.
Paying tribute, Janet said: "My dad was the most important person to me...I truly miss him, but he had a great life which i am truly grateful for.
"He is now with the love of his life.
"He was funny, kind, generous and the best guy you could ever meet."
Charlie Farrell

Charlie was husband to Sandra, dad to Andrew and Dawn, grandad to Natalie, Chloe, Ryan, Coral, Rhys, Conrad, Elsie and late Wesley and brother to Danny, Allan and late Brenda.
He lived in Altrincham and his family said he lived life to the full.
Charlie loved to dance and loved singing on karaoke, especially Frank Sinatra songs.
He loved wildlife and visited many places with Sandra.
He loved all of his grandchildren and was kind, witty and loving with a great sense of humour.
Paying tribute, daughter Dawn said: "You are sadly missed and always in our hearts. I love you so much and it hurts everyday."
Charlie passed away aged 77 at Wythenshawe Hospital on October 25.
Lee Crichton

Lee, from Stockport, was husband to Sue, dad to Ben and Louise, son to Keith and brother to Ian and Lori.
He was originally from Liverpool but moved to Stockport shortly after he got married.
Lee was a former Paratrooper then an HGV driver.
He lived for his family and the airborne brotherhood.
Paying tribute, Sue said: "Loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle & friend... your wings were ready but our hearts were not.

Lee sadly died aged 58 at Stepping Hill Hospital on March 28, 2020.
He tested positive for coronavirus on March 27.
Rowena Hurst

Rowena lived in Prestwich and was partner to Stephen, daughter of Jaqui and Bryan and mum to Shaun.
She was a follower of the CofE, a spiritualist carer and maker of jewellery.
Rowena tragically died aged 48 at North Manchester General on November 6.
She had battled Covid for three weeks.
Paying tribute, her partner Stephen said: "Rowena was a deeply spiritual, caring person.
"A loving mother and loved daughter and deeply missed partner.
"She was taken far too young and is deeply missed by all who knew her.
"So much distance between us in miles but in heart soul and mind just a thought away.
"Sweet dreams beautiful enjoy the rest you earned it x."
Hefin and Val Williams

Husband and wife Hefin and Val lived in Warrington.
They had three daughters and a son - three of whom work for the NHS or police.
They were grandparents to six grandchildren.
Hefin worked as a hospital volunteer after retiring from Manchester Airport and Val was a retired carer.
They both dedicated their lives to taking care and looking after others.
They sadly passed away aged 80 and 74 after testing positive for Covid.

Hefin died on March 30, 2020, and Val died on April 10, 2020.
Paying tribute to the pair, daughter Nicola said: "Our most amazing loving Mum & Dad.
"Taken far too soon. Left 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
"They loved and lived life to the fullest. Always dancing and singing.
"Loved by everyone who met them. A community grieving.
"Together in life and now in death. Together Forever.
"Sleep tight. God bless. Forever in our hearts."
