Lovebirds search for kind Edinburgh photographer who caught sweet proposal on camera

A couple who got engaged in Edinburgh are searching for the kind stranger who caught the sweet proposal on camera.

Before Craig Harley popped the question to his now fiance, Natalie Gray, he asked a passer by to take their photograph.

Besotted Craig and Natalie were spending the weekend in Scotland's capital, having travelled up from Newcastle.

The lovebirds posed in front of the iconic Dome building before Craig, 31, quickly got down on one knee.

The amazing moment was captured on camera all thanks to the kind lady who agreed to take charge of Craig's camera, reports Edinburgh Live.

Now the couple are on a mission to find the impromptu photographer to thank her.

Natalie said: "We are the ones who got engaged and are trying to find the lady who took the photos.

"The lady who took the photos said she was on her honeymoon.

"My fiance asked her to take a photo of us outside the dome so she had no idea he was going to propose either and she just kept on snapping away capturing every emotion of the proposal."

The couple say the joyous moment 'was a blur' (EDINBUGH LIVE)

"It was Wednesday, December 1 at half past two.

"We are from Newcastle so it was a romantic get away for my birthday, I had no idea he was going to propose.

She added: "It was all pretty much a blur but the lady who took the photos said she was on her honeymoon.

"It wasn't until we looked back at the photos that we realised she had captured the magical moment amazingly."

The couple haven't managed to track down the stranger yet but are hoping with the power of social media she will get in touch.
