'Love VAR' - Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool fans troll Tottenham after Harry Kane goal ruled out

Tottenham Hotspur saw a Harry Kane equaliser against Sheffield United ruled out after VAR ruled that Lucas Moura handled the ball in the build-up.

Spurs fell behind in the first half to a Sander Berge goal, but the visitors thought they levelled the scores through Kane.

Just minutes after conceding, the ball broke to Kane in the Sheffield United box, and the Spurs striker slalomed a challenge before curling past Dean Henderson.

However, a subsequent VAR check for a handball in the build up against Lucas Moura was upheld after the Brazilian tumbled over and the ball was cleared into his arm.

The decision left many Spurs fans angry, with Lucas seemingly fouled before the incident.

In contrast, rival supporters took the opportunity to mock Tottenham's misfortune, with one fan tweeting: "I just love VAR!"

Another posted: "VAR needs serious tweaking. That's a robbery lol. I'm loving it as an Arsenal fan though."

One Chelsea fan wrote: "Absolute madness. Should be a goal all day long. These new rules are crazy. But as a Chelsea fan.... HAHAHAHA."

There was a controversial VAR decision in the reverse fixture in north London in November.

Sheffield United appeared to equalise against Tottenham thanks to David McGoldrick's 59th-minute tap-in, but VAR ruled that John Lundstram's toe was offside.

The check lasted nearly four minutes, much to the disgust of Blades boss Chris Wilder.
