Neil Harris admits Albert Adomah is a player that will always be on his radar amid speculation the Bluebirds are lining up a move for the Nottingham Forest winger.
Adomah is currently one of several players at the City Ground whose futures are uncertain as Reds boss Sabri Lamouchi aims to trim down his squad following a hectic summer transfer window.
QPR are said to be frontrunners for the winger's signature, but after Adomah enjoyed a successful loan spell with Cardiff last season, speculation has inevitably linked him with a return to Wales.
Asked whether there was any truth to him being reunited with the 32-year-old, Harris was unsure whether a move would happen ahead of the window closing next week.
"Albert did great for me, I’m really fond of Albert," Harris told Wales Live.
"At the moment, we have four wide players at the moment that are all desperate to play.
"Albert will always be on my radar because he’s a really good bloke and his record in a Cardiff shirt was very impressive.
"Albert is certainly a player, if given the opportunity, I would love to work with again. Will that be in this window? I'm not sure about that."
