'Love this squad' - Bolton Wanderers players give verdict after Salford City victory

Bolton Wanderers consolidated their place in League Two's automatic promotion places with victory over Greater Manchester neighbours Salford City.

The Whites kept a clean sheet and took all three points at the Peninsula Stadium over the Ammies last night thanks to Lloyd Isgrove's first half strike, his second goal in as many games.

The win completed Bolton's double over Salford this season and sees them remain third in the fourth tier of English football.

But coupled with other results on the night in the division, Wanderers now have a cushion of four points to fourth place.

And they are also now just two points behind league leaders Cheltenham Town, though the Robins have a game in hand on Ian Evatt's side.

After the victory on the road, the Wanderers dressing room took to Twitter to react to the victory which has consolidated their place in the top three as Bolton are firmly in the race for promotion back to League One.

Ricardo Almeida Santos posted: "Massive win, cmon the boys."

Gethin Jones wrote: "Love this squad! Great performance!! 5 to go."

Dapo Afolayan posted: "What a win! What a performance! Love this group! 5 to go."

Ben Jackson wrote: "Up the f****** whites what a performance from the boys!!"
