The search policy and unusual things banned at Love Saves The Day 2019

This year's Love Saves The Day is set to be another stonker with some of the best live acts and DJs descending on Eastville Park.

The likes of Lily Allen, Chase & Status, Bonobo, Maribou State and many more are all set to perform, while the thousands of revellers can also enjoy plenty of entertainment away from the music on both Saturday and Suday.

Now that you've worked out how you're getting to Eastville Park, you should make yourself aware of the security measures once you arrive.

Below is everything you need to know, including the items you are not allowed to take in.

Gate opening times

The gates will be open from 11am-8pm on Saturday and 12pm-8pm on Sunday.

You can only enter the festival between these times.

Re-entry

Once you have entered the festival, you will not be allowed to leave and re-enter.

Searches

For the safety of customers and staff, security will be conducting stringent searches at the gate.

Anyone found to be carrying illicit items will have them confiscated and may be removed from the festival and handed over to the police where necessary.

Banned items

You cannot take any of the items below into the festival.

  • Fireworks, laser pens, or flares
  • Alcohol, illicit drugs, or legal highs including nitrous oxides
  • Animals (with the exception of guide dogs)
  • Selfie sticks
  • Umbrellas
  • Glass
  • Cans
  • Hi-Vis waistcoats, jackets or vests
  • Bicycles or scooters
  • Chairs
  • Cool boxes / picnic hampers
  • Pens or paint
  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (aka Drones)
  • Anything which could be considered an offensive weapon or could cause danger or nuisance

The festival does not take responsibility for any item retained by security at the gates – these items will be disposed of.

To reduce waiting times at the gate, organisers advise only bringing necessary items with you.

Age and ID

Love Saves the Day is for people of all ages, but an adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18.

Identification will be required and under-18s will be refused entry without an adult.

Love Saves the Day 2018

The responsible adult must be in a fit state to care for any under-18s they are accompanying and organisers reserve the right to refuse admission if they feel the responsible adult would be unable to account for the person under 18.

Children under five can attend the festival for free.

The festival operates a challenge 25 policy at all of its bars, so if you appear to be under 25 you will be asked for ID.
