Love rat moves in with ex, 33, AND new teen girlfriend - but fumes when they turn on him

He cruelly accused his ex of becoming "fat and ugly" after their split and hasn't seen his son in six months, but love rat Cyren Hatton gets his just desserts in an explosive Channel 5 show.

After attempting to pit his former and current lover against one another, it all backfires on him as the pair turn on him in new programme Old Wife, New Wife.

The explosive showdown happens as Cyren, from Tamworth, moves in with ex Laura Jacobs and his three-year-old son Leo for a week.

To make matters worse, he also brings new girlfriend Meaghan Fisher, 19, along with him.

33-year-old Laura blasts her ex for failing to turn up at agreed times to see son Leo and not paying towards his care.

She also reveals nasty texts Cyren sent her, which read: "Leo is going to love his new stepmum. She’s a million times better than you."

"Cyren said he was going to turn Leo against me and make him like his stepmum more than me," she reveals.

Meanwhile Meaghan says: "He tells me that I never make him happy and she made him happier. That’s why I'm struggling now.

“Cyren uses her against me in arguments and it makes me feel little. My only concern with moving in with Laura is Cyren falling back in love with her."

But Cyren doesn't seem too fussed about the two women's insecurities: "I feel like they’re both threatened by each other. Meaghan is younger, she’s 19, she’s a beautiful girl. Laura does her make-up all lovely and [Meaghan] feels threatened by her."

Initially, the two girls can't bear to look at one another and soon later a row breaks out over Cyren's lack of contribution to maintenance.

But Meaghan is left fuming after discovering that Cyren lied about cheating.

She rants: "You said ‘I’ve never cheated in my life. I wasn’t happy with Laura and even then I never cheated.’

"Then to find out you have cheated on her. You need to be an adult and realise you are in the wrong. It’s about trust."

Cyren goes on the defence as the two women turn on him and he ends up shouting at Meaghan: "Stop making it about you. I should be apologising to Laura. I didn’t cheat on you."

He later tries to make amends with Laura in a bid to see Leo but she cuts him down and brands him a liar, insisting that he will end up cheating on Meaghan.

But he blasts back: "No, because I love her, I actually love her.”

Laura is in tears and later tells her ex: "Since we split up, through the whole process, you’ve brought me down, you’ve called me ugly, you’ve called me fat, you’ve been absolutely vile.

“You’ve destroyed my self-esteem as a woman, as a mum and there was absolutely no need for it.”

Meaghan ends up being the one who comforts her and the pair bond over a trip to the hair salon and a family day out.

Laura later apologises to Meaghan for focusing her anger on her.

"It’s easier to take my anger out on you because I can’t get through to Cyren," she says. "It’s probably the wrong thing to do."

At the end of the episode, they all manage to come to an agreement regarding Leo and Cyren is glad his son is back in his life.

“My life’s looking up again, I’m really happy," he says.
